I’m the local owner of Fireside RV Rental here in West Palm Beach, and event season is the busiest stretch on my calendar. Between the festivals downtown, the golf out at PGA National, and the horse show in Wellington, I spend a good chunk of every winter and spring delivering rigs to families who want a cool, quiet basecamp — and to production crews and event organizers who need a row of trailers set up before the gates open. How delivery works for events

Here’s the honest part most people don’t realize until they’re booking: most of our venues do not allow overnight RV parking on site. The waterfront festival grounds, the fairgrounds, the golf course lots — they’re day-use, and security clears them at night. So I almost never just hand you keys and send you off to park at the gate. Instead, I deliver and set the RV up at a nearby campground or RV park, or on a private lot or event lot you’ve arranged, and you base yourself there. For a family, that often means a campground a short drive from the action with full hookups, so you’ve got power, water, and a real night’s sleep. For organizers, it means I work from your approved site plan and place units exactly where your power and access allow. Either way, delivery, setup, and pickup are handled — you’re not towing anything or backing a rig into a tight spot yourself. Reach out early in the season, especially for the Wellington horse show stretch, because the good nearby spots book up fast. A few honest South Florida tips

I’d rather you know what our weather actually does than be surprised by it. A few things I tell every event renter: run the air conditioning — even our “cool” event months can sit in the low 80s with humidity, and the AC is what makes the RV the comfortable retreat you rented it for, so keep it going while you’re out and it’ll be cold when you come back. Expect afternoon storms, especially as the season warms up; our rain tends to blow through hard and fast in the late afternoon, which, frankly, is one more reason a dry, air-conditioned rig beats waiting it out under a tent. Bring more water and sunscreen than you think you need. And keep that point about overnight parking in mind — plan to base out of a campground or arranged lot, not the venue itself. Sort the basecamp first and the rest of the event takes care of itself.
